We’re happy to announce that size doesn’t matter…at least when it comes to the size of your country. This juicy red is from Bulgaria, a country the size of Tennessee, but we have what it takes to make smooth, impressive wines crafted from Merlot. Within this small country are mountain ranges, valleys, rivers, forests, sunflower fields, and most importantly: a whole lot of sunshine. The summers here are long and the warm autumn allows plenty of time to hit the beach, hike the Vitosha Mountain, or enjoy a glass of red wine and kozunak, our famous braided sweet bread.

Pairing red wine can be tricky, sure, but Roost Rule is a very food-friendly wine. What does that mean? It’s soft enough to complement food, but it has the tannins to bring out flavors in your protein. Some of our favorite dishes are shepherd’s pie, pork loin, enchiladas, and falafel.
